Worship Ministry

Lectors & Chalice Bearers

We have an outstanding group of committed Lectors and Chalice Bearers. Along with serving on Sunday mornings, they serve at all our special services: Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Ash Wednesday [evening service], Maundy Thursday, Thanksgiving Eve, and St. Andrew's Day. Acolytes

The St. Andrew's Acolyte Program has been blessed with a renewal spirit! There are nearly thirty young people who now serve at the altar in this church ministry. Any youth in the 4th grade or older who would like to join the Acolyte program can do so by contacting the church office at (850) 763-7636. Ten acolytes are scheduled for each 10:30 a.m. service and four for the 8:00 a.m. service.

Altar Guild

The Altar Guild is responsible for setting up for all services and keeping all things needed for services available and clean. With the help of the E.C.W., the Altar Guild prepares Thanksgiving baskets and decorates the church for Christmas, Easter and other special Sundays. If you would like to participate, please call the church office at (850)763-7636. This is a serious and very important commitment. The Guild would enjoy training anyone who is interested. A person learns about THEIR church and appreciates the different aspects of the services doing this wonderful ministry.

Greeters

The role of a greeter can be summarized in one word: hospitality. The greeter greets people as they enter the church. A handshake or hug or a simple "Good morning" or "We're glad you're here" is quite appropriate. Also, the greeter is to identify visitors and help make them feel at home. Ushers

Ushers assist the congregation and priest. They help count the congregation for communion, assist with the Elements, and collect the offering, direct the congregation during communion and they straighten up the Church after services. Prayer Intercessors

At both services on Sunday morning, during communion, there are people in the Chapel who are available to pray with or for anyone who has a special need. If you would like to participate in this ministry please call the church office at (850)763-7636.
